Precautions while changing the address and the way of filling ‘Change of Address Notice [転居届]’ card

  • It is mandatory to renew your address at the city office or ward office. When renewing, a new address must be written on your residence card.

  • When you change the address, it is necessary to provide or inform them a new address wherever you have registered before.

  • If you change your address, you must submit “Change of Address Notice[転居届]" to the post office. The new address must be informed to the company of Wi-Fi, water, gas, electricity etc.

The way of filling ‘Change of Address Notice [転居届]’ card


  • After registration of new address at the ward office or city office, get this (Change of Address Notice) card from the post office.

  • Then, fill the card like below and submit it at the post office.
